History

The Parramatta whEELS were founded in 1997 and played their first game against the Titans where they unfortunately lost 38 – 0. They only had to wait one week before they won their first match beating the Sweathogs 42 – 22. In their first year in Push & Power Sports they managed to win 8 out of their 14 matches.

The whEELS’ first competition success came in the same year 1997 and again in 1999 with Premierships in the ‘B’ Grade competition, beating the Hawks 28 - 22 in 1997 and St George 24 - 8 in 1999. After that maiden premiership Parramatta become a real force in Push & Power, although they didn’t win another title till 2006, they still managed to make the ‘A’ Grade Grand Final several times in the competition.

In 2006 Parramatta once again won the Premiership, beating The Sharks 36 – 22.

The Parramatta whEELS Rugby League & Sporting Club can reflect proudly on its achievements from its opening game in 1997 to its premiership successes. Overall the Club is one which prides itself on being successful, innovative and professional.
